Does the seat move you forward, lower, anything like that or is it more like oem position. Is it firm ie; hard

No experience on position for the CTX1300 Corbin seat, but I do have experience with the feeling of a Corbin seat (on my current ride). I've always been told a Corbin is hard, BUT it is NOT the softness of the seat that matters. In fact, you really don't want a soft seat for longer rides. A soft seat will give you hot spots and bum burn in all the wrong places. It's all about the shape of the seat that matters. The right shape and hardness becomes irrelevant. A Corbin seat is the right shape for many riders who give it a try. Just thought I'd throw that out there in relation to this seat.

I have the Corbin 'close' (sets the rider about an inch forward from OEM) on my 1300 currently. Both models, the regular and the close, sit a bit lower than stock - you sit 'in' the seat, not on - and the pillion sits a bit higher than stock - and the pillion gets a MUCH more comfortable seating area...ask the Mrs.

Yes, it's 'firmer' than the OEM couch, but is shaped more realistically to your arse - for long rides you want this as it eliminates pressure spots.

My 1300 Corbin is also narrower at the tank/thighs than the OEM seat, and better radiused at the back of the thighs, making it more comfortable at stops as well.

I put 70k+ miles on my previous Harley Dyna with a Corbin....worth every penny.

If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over this sale!!

Best of luck with your sale!!

Also, according to the part number on the listed seat "H-13-CTX-C" it is a 'close' as well...

Based on the pic with the model this is the Close Dual Saddle.

From Corbin's site:
Corbin's Dual saddle is available in a standard and Close version that provides seating closer to the bars with a slightly lower seat height. Close version provides a seating position approximately 2 inches further forward than our standard model.

Seems like a good deal for somebody that needs the 'close version'
