July 4th 2020 Arkansas ride

Kevin stated that he would like to do a trip from Huntsville Alabama to Arkansas on the 4th of July 2020. I asked if he minded if I posted it here in case anyone else cares to join.

He has hotel points he wants to use, but ironically I use a different hotel chain so it may be an instance of ride to the area together, meet somewhere in the mornings each morning.

If anyone is in the area or would like to join we can fully develop a community plan. As of now it is just a goal.

Arkansas has a free guide to good motorcycle routes in the state with most being loops of one kind or another. I've only done one trip there but the roads and scenery were great. I don't recall where I wrote for the M/C road guide but I'm sure you could find it on the state website. If each person interested in this trip had one planning might be easier.
Ride safe.

Thanks for the reminder.. I did verify that I had previously added this to the knowledge sharing document (Trip Planning tab) along side some other gems for planning MC rides.

There was one time.... it was crazy awesome!

I'm going to see if this fits my schedule. I've been planning a similar trip for about a year. Here are a few helpful websites:
Free Motorcycle Ride Maps for Arkansas and Missouri | Scenic Tours, Road Descriptions, Motorcycle-Friendly Destinations | Plan your next Ozarks motorcycle trip with Cruise the Ozarks, the #1 Motorcyclist's Guide to Riding in the Ozark Mountains
www.eurekasprings.org

For what it's worth, Harrison, AR has been marketing itself as a motorcycle friendly city and a hub for motorcycle touring. Many of the routes work well using Harrison as the starting place.

Great riding areas, been there many times from SW Kansas. Eureka Springs is a great place to stay also. The KOA is nice if your into the Kamping Kabins. We like to stay in Koas around the country, or they have some great motels also.

It will probably be very warm and humid that time of the year though.
