Thumbs up Motorcycle USA review just out today

This just out...
MotorcycleUSA.com

Another good review. They like it! They really liked the performance of the ABS and TC, even better than high-performance bikes.
From some of their comments, like how the CTX1300 is missing highway pegs up front, I could tell the reviewers tended to be more cruiser oriented. And they love the sound as well as lack of vibration... silky smooth engine with lots of roll on power.

Good Review, thanks for posting.

He reviewed it for what it is, not for what it isn't. Love that last simple quote on the video: "this thing's awesome"

It has even more significance to me that he just previously stated that he prefers a sportier ride and still thinks it's "awesome"

Nice -- thanks Bob.

I'm kinda liking that I haven't seen anything really bad said about this bike. And the only slightly negative comments are things I know I can deal with and won't consider a problem.

Next week cannot get here soon enough.

Thumbs up

I loved this review, especially the video. If I hadn't already had the bike on order, I would have been on the phone to my dealer to do so after seeing the video!

Here's something I missed in the first view of the video. About time stamp 2:05 the test rider comes onto the screen riding the CTX1300 with the TALL screen! Now I get a sense for just how tall the tall screen is. Here are a few screen clips of it. The test rider looks to be a somewhat tall dude but also looks like he slouches while riding so it's a bit hard to tell how much he can see over the screen... but it does appear that he is looking over it.

Here is another screen clip that may show better. Looks like if the rider would sit up straight he'd definitely be looking over the screen. But it gives a bit of scale how tall it is.

Thanx bob, I love that review. The honda dealer here in Fayetteville needs to read that. He will not order the CTX 1300 because he feels it will not sale.

Yes, he DOES need to see that review. Every review that comes out seems to be better than the last one. I think this bike WILL sell pretty well, especially if the price comes down a little.

Playing devil's advocate for a moment, though, he DOES (hopefully) know his market and what types of bikes are most likely to sell. Perhaps the potential buyers in your area are predominately hard-core cruiser or sport bike types. As the guy in the video review said, the CTX1300 is not for everyone. It wouldn't appeal to the guy who wants a "chopper" or a "crotch rocket" or even a traditional touring bike like the Gold Wing. It's definitely aimed at what is likely a niche market. A niche that you happen to be in, but that others in your area are not.

It sounds like there are other dealers in your state or relatively nearby who would be happy to sell you a CTX1300. It is not unheard of for buyers to fly to a dealer in another state and ride the bike home. Obviously that involves additional time and expense and is not practical for many people, but it IS a possibility. And your local dealer should be able to ORDER the bike for you if you're willing to commit to the purchase. It would be idiotic of him not to take the money of a willing customer. The only issue might be getting service later, though, since his techs will have very little experience with your particular model.
