Reading those reminds me of some of the ST1300 owners on that other forum. Narrow minded sports bike riders who don't get it. To them, if it's not a sports bike, or at least a sport touring bike it isn't a real bike. Too bad. Some of them actually attempt to spout facts... but have their facts wrong or misunderstood at best. They talk of hp when anyone really knows the better gauge of power is the torque. They don't understand WHERE that hp or torque happens and don't realized that most of them rarely or ever really see the rpm needed to capitalize on the power they have on their own bikes. They sacrifice some comfort and mile crunching capability for being twitchy and prone to leaning over. Those bikes can make a straight road twisty. And some ST owners have actually stated that about their own bikes!

prior and current bikes:
1973 Harley Davidson 125 dual sport- sold
1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 750- sold
1990 Honda Gold Wing GL1500- sold
2005 Suzuki Burgman 650- sold
1998 Honda ST1100- sold
2014 Honda CTX1300A (U.S.A. Ion Blue Deluxe)-sn: 489- tied for best road bike- sold
2013 White Suzuki Burgman 650 ABS- tied for best road bike
2003 Honda Metropolitan CHF503 (wife's ride)

Hey, ya know what? I'm at the point where I really don't care what those ignoramus types have to say. People will take a look at the bike, and if it tickles their fancy, they'll check it out for themselves or pop in to a forum like this to get some first-hand feedback -- and I'll be more than happy to give them a full and unbiased opinion. If they're crapping on it from a picture now, they probably aren't the target audience for it anyway. Besides, Honda built it long enough for me to buy one, so that's all that matters to me. I got mine and I'm enjoying the he11 out of it. So there.

I did not realize for a bike to be a cruiser it had to have to have loud annoying exhaust. I like enjoying the ride not a bunch of noise
