Welcome here.
Also a former GW owner here. Found the CTX1300 was just like the GW but has a much better stock seat than that bigger bike IMO. Had the GW for 4 years.

Welcome aboard. Seems to be quite a few prior GW owners taking up the CTX. I’d still be on my 1500 had it not been for a close encounter with gravel in a curve. But I love the CTX. Enjoy and ride safe.

Hi guys
I got a new phone over the winter..for the life of me , I can't get it to pair with the stereo.. I follow the instructions in the manual to a tee...the phone isn't picking up the bike or visca versa...won't connect through USB port either? Any suggestions??

Are you using Mode + DOWN volume on the bike?
It makes a HUGE difference using up or down volume for pairing devices.
Mode + up volume is for pairing to a helmet headset (up in the helmet).
Mode + down volume is for pairing to music devices (down in the bike).
This was a major confusion early on since the manuals are not really clear on it.

It also depends how old the phone is or what order you start the pairing process (phone first or bike first followed by the other).
Keeping in mind that pairing your phone to the bike will only be for playing music from your phone and not for phone calls. That would require a helmet headset and pairing directly phone to headset since the bike BT system doesn't handle phone calls.
