There are a few members here who have mounted a CT. Do a search and you'll find a list of posts on it.

Darksiders creep me out. It's basically choosing cash over safety. I understand that people have done this successfully for a long time, but the fact is, if you ride aggressively at all it will simply not perform the way a motorcycle tire does. There have been a few articles out there I will try and get the links to that talk about this. I am a fan of hard riding in the twisties and the CTX1300 is well suited to such en devours. I'm not going to risk a low-side to save $50 10 or 12 times over the life of the bike.

Proudly Confused,
QB

Yep, I ride a motorcycle that creeps out a lot of folks too, claiming I'm unsafe and don't care about my family.
They say all bikers are the same careless type. Of course if they could just read this forum to see how unprejudiced we are....unless of course someone else does something WE think is unsafe, then that's different.

You can sit back in a Lazy Boy and watch TV OR get on a motorcycle seat and watch the world go by.

Darksiders don't really bother me . To each their own . But I can't really see risking my life or comprising the great ride qualities of my CTX to save a few bucks. I have ridden behind them and it changed my outlook about ever trying it. I am not saying it is wrong but just not for me .

Safety vs saving money?
WE bought a motorcycle. It is cheaper than a car. It is more unsafe than a car. Does that mean (using the logic above) that you choose saving money over safety?
The answer is YES....so don't criticize someone for choosing a different form of unsafe travel than you.
Ride quality? How many here are changing their suspensions, their seats, their handlebars, their storage, etc. all with UNAPPROVED BY HONDA accessories? (OM page 16)
Yep, ride quality is subjective. If not, why do we have riders using different settings on shocks, handlebars, tires, grips, seats, apparel,..... ????????????????????????????
