3m Scotchlite on top box and mirrors

I saw several post on applying to side boxes but I wanted something higher than tail light. Thought about wrapping red but just felt like it would be ugly.

This is a black that even in daylight has a little shimmer at an angle, but its very close to gloss black on lid and when at angle almost like the dark gray on sides, certainly doesn't look out of place.

Just finished and took at couple shots with phone no flash / flash. Very promising

Was reading and seems like several people have one out now. I'm thinking add license plate add on light and wire it to sensor using the switched 12 accessories plug under the seat. Be pretty easy no effecting OEM brake so more a compliment item. Sensor of choice and 30 dollar light.

I want to do something with those "eyes". I've thought about taking out the black and putting in a white plastic. Backlighting it and maybe make some sort of eyeball for it.
What color for the iris? Angry red, blue, yellow....?
No iris. Just the whites of the eyes.
Also the same reflective tape on the highway peg mounts. Pic taken with flash.

I now realize the black ones on the box are off center....but, you get the gist.
They are very reflective, and stand out.
Not sure if I'll keep them on or not...

This forum is getting weird with this new batch of riders. And I say, "It's about time."

Thats actually cool concept no ECU using quick deceleration sensor and lights up. Good for when running low gear and engine braking which is a significant reason for rear end hits because no brake light warning although quickly slowing.
Not sure I'd want that on helmet but be great to have that technology on top box rather than depending on actual brake light signal.
While I have a set of Motoglo lights on the back of my helmet, wirelessly connected to my brakes and signals, I agree completely that engine braking and slow speeds make for unexpected changes in velocity. Means you gotta keep track of who's behind you at all times [except for those high speed jackasses who suddenly pass you without warning.]. I try my best to tap my brake under those circumstances, just as a warning.

Or take a tip from the storied Harley rider who traveled with a side bag of hammers. He would offer them freely to tailgaters.

Your choice.

Weird. WEIRD!!
I resemble that remark, thanks for noticing. 🙃
And on a serious note. I at least activate my brake lights if there's someone behind me. Even though I'm engine braking.

It's a monster attack. Should it be straight?
Leave them on. It makes your bike you. Different from the others.
You know how hard it is to spot your CTX with all the other bluenicorns parked at a bike event. (A little sarcasm)

At least in the car you can use your windshield washer to clean yours AND someone close behind.

@PatrickFL - Job well done with the 3M! Looks like I will be doing some laser cutting soon. Cheers!

Scissors work fine, but if you got the skills laser sounds fun.

I spent maybe an hour cutting placing and deciding what to do next until I used most of the strip I bought.
