My bike has been in the shop for the past 4 weeks. It is expected to be in the shop for another 6 weeks minimum waiting on a front left shock damper. It is on backorder and I am not likely to receive it until the end of March, beginning of April. I heard that there is a reasonably priced after-market shock cartridge that I can insert into the forks. I have spent days googling it. And all I can find is a $1400 option.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

That seems like a long time in the shop :(
I know some parts are hard to get. I cannot answer your question but would you be doing both forks or just one?

You might be referring to Traxion Dynamic front end. I got it and it costs about $1200. It made my bike feel like night and day. Love how the CTX handles now. I wish I had known 4 weeks ago... I could have sent my stock parts to you. Unfortunately I tossed them

Thanks everyone. I guess this is the downside to buying a discontinued bike. But the upside makes up for it
Let me make one suggestion. The CTX1300 was sold in the USA as only a 2014 model year. I believe that Honda Canada sold it as 2014 and 2015 model years. You may want to check with one of the Canadian Club Members to see if they can find one. Do you have the Honda Part Number? It was also sold in Europe and I believe it was for three model years. Hope you find one soon.

You've commented on this in the past. Was there really three years of production or just calling it a 2016 because that was the year it was sold new. I've never seen a Honda parts site that indicates any other year than 2014. That includes Europe sites I've looked into.

Hi all, I'm from Italy and I got my Honda ctx 1300 last june.
I strongly recommend Andreani Misano Pro cartridge, fully adjustable, dedicated to our bike and calibrated by the factory on the rider's weight.
The fork response is much better than the stock one.
The cost in Italy is approximately 650 euros (all two cartridges) plus oil, fork oil seals, and labor ... less than a thousand euros in all, in my opinion it's worth it.
If I'm not mistaken, Andreani is also present in USA.
Greetings to all.
