Hello all,

Not sure who all would be up for this but I was wondering if there are any plans in the works for a forum map that way maybe down the road meet ups could be arranged or just a spur of the moment ride from time to time with those nearby? Just throwing this out there not sure how everyone feels about it!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. We could start a thread that just asks people where they are from. I'm not sure how it would work with an actually map though. We could also make a thread that is dedicated to organizing meet-ups.

The ST-Owners.com forum has a Google Map of events. While it would be not be too crowded now, I think it would get too crowded to be useable as this site grows.
Maybe just populate your location information in your CP (control panel) profile and also perhaps the moderators can implement another thread category for events, RTE (ride to eat) or other such subjects. This seems to work well over on the ST site.

That works for me! Not sure where I saw the whole map thing maybe in a previous forum or something but a group ride thread would do the same thing I would imagine without all the work on programming and such! :):):):)

So far we have the following main sections:
Forums
General Discussion
Ownership
Tech Section
Off Topic
Information & Help

Maybe add one more for:
Events and Gatherings

I'm thinking that's what he was thinking, Jim.

And welcome to the board!
You guys are prob right with this one. I still think a thread section like mentioned above would be far easier to manage. :):):)

Actually the management could be quite minimal. Ask each member to place their own pin on the map. Someone does have to create the map page though.

And thanks for the welcome sleepingbear.

Good point, and of course the map can be moderated like the rest of the forum to ensure it's the best it can be. I can see this happening
