I subscribe to Rider and to Cycle World magazines. Every time one of the issues arrives in my mailbox I immediately look to see if there is anything, and I mean ANYTHING, about the CTX1300 in there. I can hardly wait to read an official ride review! Oh, the suspense!! :D:D:D Bing is also getting a workout on my computer every day just searching for new articles or pics about the bike.

I bet I'm not the only one...!

I'm with you. I can't purchase one as soon as they come out, but I want to see and learn all I can about the bike. I will be getting one. :)
Nope, 'bagger, you certain are not the only one! :D
+1 on that. Not alone by a long shot! I did find japan.webike.net website that has parts listed for the CTX1300 including the accessories. I went to the Japan Honda site that was in another thread on this board and copied the part number of the accessory I wanted to look up, like 08R70-MJN-J10 for the tall screen, and searched on "honda 08R70-MJN-J10" and the first few results were the webike sites with prices in USD (currently 176.58 for the screen)! Looks like you can order from there to ship here... except I don't know how high shipping would be.

I gotta tell you guys that I am somewhat disappointed in Honda,as I can not find ANY road tests done on the 1300 by any independent motorcycle magazine like the other manufactures have conducted on their new models, other then what Honda, themselves, has shown us in their advertisements.Hence I have to wonder WHY?? I mean,it's not like I haven't been lookin for em,cause I have.But I have noticed that just about all of the other MC manufacturers have had road tests conducted by the motorcycle magazines on their new models.And even though we have read and heard good things about the CTX,it's only what Honda has told us.What's that old saying?? ["when something sounds to good to be true,it usually is"] So,until I see a road test conducted by one or more of the motorcycle magazine companies,as they usually give ya a pretty good heads up on the pro's and con's of new models,I'm not gonna get my hopes up. I wanna SEE one of these reports "BEFORE" I make any commitments.And I suspect,there are other gentlemen who feel the same way.After all,we are talking $16000 USD,plus,here.Whadaya think?? Dave!!!

Don't be too hard on Honda, Dave!!!. I think the mc mags need to step up their efforts to get a review model. But I can also understand them waiting until it actually shows up at the dealer so they can be assured of testing the machine as it is off the showroom floor and not some specially conditioned model.
Have patience grasshopper :D As soon as they can buy one off the floor you'll be seeing ride reports from the mc mags as well as new owners. There is that French video post somewhere here. Sorry of surprised that owner didn't record riding it as well as just staring it. Maybe he didn't feel confident doing that on his own and didn't have helpers. They will come. They always do.

Ok, that's long enough. Where are those reviews!!!

My point EXACTLY!! lol Dave!!!
Now it seems to me,and I could be wrong,but in the past,when a new model was first introduced,the MC magazine people were usually right there to test em before they hit the dealerships,then report their findings in their magazine articles so anybody interested in one, could read about it and make a decision as to whether or not they still wanna buy one of those models,and or compare it to another make/model they may be interested in.And I've been reading about some of the new models that weren't available to the public as of press time,yet had already been road tested and commented on in MC magazine articles.So again,the question "WHY" hasn't the CTX1300 been tested by the MC magazine people??? Doesn't that make ya wonder?? It does me!! Dave!!!
Marketing.
Plain and simple.
And so the excitement continues to build in anticipation of that new model ritual of a test ride and report or even just of availability.
:rolleyes:;):):cool::D

Does it make me wonder? Nah. Maybe a little curious, but not enough to be concerned. Sure some models are reviewed before they're available to the public, but not all of 'em. They'll be ready for review soon enough, I'd guess.

You'd guess??? Doncha mean,"YOU'D HOPE"??? :( :) Dave!!!
