This morning I was heading out of El Paso texas, towards Carlsbad New Mexico.

Some good twistys, but I had 10-20 mph wind gust. So I took it easy and went slow.

I don’t lean very well, in the wind and twistys.

Carlsbad caverns, in New Mexico was 120miles away

I did 100 miles in 2 hours. Freeway and back road cruising.

It sounds like you had a great time! The CTX is superb for long-distance touring; I truly enjoy mine on the interstate and two-lanes.

Those caverns are DEEP. Walking down isn't too bad and they have elevators to go back up thankfully. Have a great trip.
Elevators are nice for us old guys. My friend and I walked down to natural tunnel in Virginia after the cable car closed. NEVER again. I was ready to stay down there until they opened or a train passed through.
