This is the CTX700 Accessory list, its likely the best place to start when speculating on CTX1300 Genuine Honda Accessories...

  • 12V ACCESSORY SOCKET-$79.95

  • BACKREST-$194.95

  • BILLET LICENSE PLATE FRAME-$43.95

  • BILLET MASTER CYLINDER CAP-$44.95

  • BRACKET, BACKREST-$129.95
  • HEATED GRIP ATTACHMENT KIT-$59.95
  • HIGH WIND SCREEN-$159.95

  • HEATED GRIPS-$229.95

  • INNER SUPPORT-$89.95
  • REAR CARRIER-$149.95

  • SADDLEBAG PANEL-$129.95
  • SADDLEBAG STAY-$199.95

  • SADDLEBAG SET (29L)- $599.95

On the CTX1300 page on powersports.honda they mention there will be tall windscreen, heated grips, backrest with pad, 12V socket, 45L rear trunk, LED foglight kit and more.

I also went and explored the 2013 F6B Accessory page for more ideas, these are the few I think will end up pertaining to CTX1300...

  • LED FOGLIGHT KIT- $499.95

  • SADDLEBAG LINER- $89.95

  • CENTERSTAND- $249.95

  • TINTED WINDSCREEN-$144.95

Thats probably about all we're going to get from Honda of significance. Obviously they're going to have other accessories like chrome plate frames and disc covers but i consider those irrelevant :D

What do you think is missing?

Looks like the tall shield is all I'll be able to afford after the purchase price of the bike. Other items like trunk and 12v and fog/driving lights will have to come from aftermarket for much less $$$. I usually end up doing a lot of fabrication on my own so some savings there on items like an isolated aux power panel and tail rack. I rather like how tall the F6B tinted shield is, or maybe just a little taller with a flip on the edge would be plenty for me. Get the air stream up to mid helmet so the vents still work.

The tall Honda windshield for the CTX700D was an absolute disaster for any rider over about 5'4". Massive jackhammer air on the helmet.

I hope they do a better job for the 1300. Aftermarket screens are readily available for both the CTX700 and the F6B. I hope these manufacturers quickly get something available for the CTX1300. I won't trust the Honda tall shield.

The saddlebags for the CTX700 are OK. But the matching color panels are crap. They fasten on with one screw and some two-sided tape. They pull away at the edges allowing all manner of dirt and road poo to get behind them. If I had it to do over again, I'd leave the panels off and just have black bags on a red bike. I hope Honda has done a better job on the 1300.

The pictures I've seen seem to show the same cheap crap fasteners on the 1300 saddle bags. That doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the quality of the bags.

The 700 was designed and built to a low price point. At $17,500 the 1300 should be a bit more upscale with better stuff attached. I bought the 700 without ever seeing one. I won't do that with the 1300.

Good to know about the tall windscreen. That was the only accessory i was really interested in. I'll have to wait for some customer feedback before investing in that. What is the point of the tinted windscreen? It's not like you are actually going to look through it. It ain't shielding you from the sun!

A lot of this stuff seems overpriced. Is that because it is CTX 1300 specific? WOuld other brands aftermarket parts be cheaper?

The stuff listed in this thread by rosy thorn is for the CTX700 or F6B. No word yet on pricing or availability of any specific accessory for the CTX1300 other than a short list on the Honda site of what might be. Though I am certain that what Honda provides will be $$$.

yes everything here is for the CTX700 and F6B, i believe i prefaced that in the OP. I based it off the CTX1300 page on honda powersports:

On the CTX1300 page on powersports.honda they mention there will be tall windscreen, heated grips, backrest with pad, 12V socket, 45L rear trunk, LED foglight kit and more.
and then went looking for common accessories between the CTX700 and F6B to come up with a crude idea of what Honda COULD offer us...

Aftermarket is always cheaper.

Howdy @Todd and welcome around here!
I presume from your question that you are in Canada?
I may be mistaken but I think that's one of the countries that just comes with the 12v port installed from the factory. It should be located in the "cheek" of the rear cover between the saddlebag and under the seat right behind the right upper shock mount. At least that's the factory provided mounting for it on my bike per the manual.

Also, every time you meet a dealer that has a "can't be done" attitude, it's a sign from above you should pick another dealer ;-)

I see people talking about aftermarket parts. I made an aftermarket fog light kit for under $150 in black powder coating and a chrome version will be ready next week. Look me up under post by menosabe

I got one of his first kits IT IS ROCK solid mount and strong.. The lights he supplies are way brighter than the headlight. I definitely had to install a separate cut off switch on them so i don't blind oncoming cars here.
