Review: 2014 Honda CTX 1300 - GT-Cruiser of the 3rd Kind from Bikes in the Fast Lane - Daily Motorcycle News

 GT Cruiser really works for me, the CTX really is a new kind of motorcycle. Great pictures in this review, although I'm not crazy about the white.

Puzzling why America gets no centerstand.

Agreed - passenger backrest should have been an immediately available accessory.... or at this premium launch price should have been included :D along with the centerstand! Many reviews are criticizing the high price.

Ahhh, still more about the windshield. A shorty windshield on a "Roadster" just makes sense to me. But then, I type this from a keyboard in California.

GT Cruiser -- I like it.

No center stand in the US 'cos they're afraid it will look goofy next to all the leaning over HD's. ;)

No really, I have no idea, other than maybe to save $$$, as I'd guess that center stands are not heavily requested here?

I think they know that many Americans willingly pay extra for that kind of "accessory" and if they were any more bold about it they would likely as not offer the side stand as an add-on accessory too!

Or maybe it really is the fitting in with the cruiser crowd thing.
I've been to a number of "bike nights" in the area here and even the Goldwings that show up are on their side stands just to allow tighter parking next to all the cruisers. Then there's always one guy with a GW wearing flip-flops, shorts, and a Hawaiian shirt who puts it up on the center stand and it's like those guys with BMW sports cars who seem to always take up 3 parking spots diagonally just to avoid door dings.

BTW - had to say it. Often times if I see a fancy sports car straddling across multiple parking spots, especially up close to the store front, I verify there are video cameras watching the lot (in most around here there are) and park my bike legally in one of those spots so my front tire is just next to their front driver side door. I really hate those guys.

Well I'll be. That's two things I've learned in here the last two days. :D
And here's another tip! :D
What I do is search on CTX1300 and then click on Search Tools that shows just below the search bar, then click on Any Time and select a limit for how far back your search goes. There will also be a few more options that show up to further refine your search after that even. See attached screen clippy. See this really is a helpful forum :D
