Hi there Pauls the name , i don't actually own a honda , i own a rocket tourer , for long distance and 2 up riding, and a 650 v strom for , hooting round the hills and the occasional dirt roads , Lookiing to replace the rocket and narrowed it down to the new honda or the new lt thunderbird .

Just have to see a ctx in the flesh yet .

Having just come from a T-bird myself, it should be no surprise which way I'd tell you to go. But you have to ride them both and make up your own mind. I can say, though, that as good as the 'Bird handles, the CTX1300 handles better. Very light and neutral response for such a big bike. And in three weeks and almost 600 miles, I have yet to scrape a footpeg. Be sure to get some saddle time on both before making your decision.
