Hello Everyone I'm Mike from Las Vegas.
I don't own a CTX1300, but a Buddy does and I do the work on his bikes.
I ride Adventure bikes (1000 Vstrom and 650 Vstrom) but could seriously consider the CTX for my wife's next wheels.
I'm also a Moderator on a forum called My2Wheels.com primarily Dualsport oriented but we have just about every bike covered by our group of riders.
I will be using your board here to pick your brains as I work on my buddies bike.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out how to remove the body panels without breaking something and ran across this here forum.
If ever in the Vegas area yell and we can meet for a Coke or go for a spin!

Welcome to the forum.

The plastic body panels require plastic tools, if you don't want to scratch them. You need a couple spudgers and/or guitar picks, those should be enough for all the prying you may need to do on the bike.

Welcome to the forum!
Lots of info here, just missing the service manual online so far.
Anything you don't find an answer to... just ask. Many of us here have the service manual and can look up the answers if we don't know right off. :)

Thanks for the replies.
Guess I should swing by Harbor Freight and pickup some door panel tools for popping the plastics apart.
They sure hide the fasteners well on this bike!
