Looks different from most other bikes on the market. And I mean that from every angle. The front has that almost spherical shape. Looks very long which gives the illusion of being fast and swift even when it is standing still.

Would be nice if the CTX1300 had a more interesting gauge cluster, but hey, that is if I am complaining.

I'm getting to like the look more as I see more pictures. I think there is a lot of potential for some interesting accessories and modifications to personalize the bike.

I really like the way Honda has exposed the engine and not covered it like they did with the ST1100 and ST1300. The V4 is a good looking motor and we should enjoy the look. After all it is a MOTORcycle.

Apparently there is one at the dealer in Ottawa so I might check it out today and see what it looks like. I will let you know either way if it is there, and what I see.

I was miss informed. The person who said he saw the bike at the dealer saw CTX700. Sorry for the confusion.

a better looking instrument cluster would be nice but the way it is now, it's suitable for this bike IMO. How would you want it to look?

Hello,
I am new to the forum and will be buying a CTX1300 Deluxe in the next few days. My first question, I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and when I test rode the standard model I had a hard time viewing the rear view mirrors because the Reservoir on the handle bars were blocking my view. The dealer will be installing short mirrors mounted to the Resevoir. Second question, Does anyone have a picture of the Blue Deluxe with the taller windshield?

Did your dealer lower the bars. That's the most common "fix" for the mirrors being blocked. But it doesn't totally unblock the mirrors. For some it does enough. For others there is more needed. A few have put on or are thinking of putting on the extra mirrors on the reservoirs. I've sometimes considered adding small mirrors to the top of the existing mirror covers LIKE THESE from Saeng/TA. Or maybe the same brand in the reservoir bosses LIKE THIS ONE. But for now I'm fine with the lowered bars and adjusted reservoirs and can see what I need to.

I do like the taller shield. I am 5'9" with 32" inseam and can easily see well over the shield but it enlarges the envelope to the top of my helmet. Honda did this one right. The airstream is still smooth without the back pressure buffeting. Some have reported a bit of buffeting with a passenger behind though, I think that's from the air coming up from the sides rather than going over the top.

Congrats on the new bike too. :smiley-happy0034:

Oh, I couldn't get that second link in Ed's post to work. I think he was referring to the thread starting with this post.

Blue CTX1300 Deluxe delivered today. Dealer installed the taller windshield which works out fine. Rode 15 miles between rain cells. It rained, then stopped, then started again.
Dealer left the bars at factory setting and installed mirrors. Lowering the bars may hit the covers if they are left open when locking the front end.

Congrats on the new ride.
With my bars lowered they don't hit the covers when open. Even with bars at either stop. If they did hit the covers then obviously they lowered the bars too far.

Post some photos!
