I’m about to start swapping out all the fluids on my new to me used bike and noticed the cap screw caps on the brake fluid reservoir appear untouched have any of you used the Japanese style tips or just a normal screwdrivers. I’d hate to round the heads off or if there any other areas of repair where they may be advantageous.

On a Japanese made bike, I always use JIS screwdrivers, it just not worth using regular Phillips screwdrivers and taking a chance to round the screws. The JIS screwdrivers are not expensive and for sure you will use them in different occasions. They are a must if you do your maintenance on any Japanese bike. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I never knew there was such a thing until somebody posted their new set on FB awhile ago. Having owned almost exclusively Honda’s over the years, you’d think I’d have known about them already. Now I know why some of those things were so damn hard to remove. Just got my set in a few days ago. :)
