A big thanks to @menosabe for this idea.. he sent a spreadsheet during our email exchanges for his parts.. and I thought.. hey this is a good idea.. I should gather some common items into my own spreadsheet.

This document is my work in progress. It gathers some common items, it gathers some not so common items.

also for the CTX information.. sorry it is focused on U.S.A bikes / suppliers.. but I would be interested in other resources internationally (especially Japan).

didn't find anything useful for the CTX in that spreadsheet.. perhaps you have an interest in cast iron cookware...

Tank protectors, the adhesive kind. Honda has them for 120.00.... I think they can be had on Amazon for 20.00ish.....

@TDWright thanks for the feedback.. I found the tank protector previously discussed here and added it, and I also started an audio section.. though slim pickins thus far. Please notice I am not making an opinion on "best" for any one category, just posting items that seem to get used often. For the bluetooth / GPS section.. this could be a tricky section to nail down, but I'll comb through some posts and see what pops out.

I see the information getting used by a few people now and then when Im in there editing. Perhaps any people who have take a look could provide some feedback on document?

The last few days has been a whirl wind blender of reading.. more forum reading and some more forum reading.. and then some more content added.

I am looking for a few things that people might have knowledge of:
unique odds / ends like pins use to make false plugs real plugs on the bike.
Also looking for a source for OEM plugs in general for custom harness creation(think gear selector and engine tuner on the diag port at the same time, or maybe simple plug and play electrical splits for signal wires)

any specialty farkle

any category not yet listed?

any item in a new or existing category that might be helpful to others?

@CaliChaos, for pins and plugs that are factory two sources are listed in my visitor messages (page 2) in my public profile page. I used the official pins to turn a few dummy plugs into real plugs. The one for the factory 12v socket uses larger pins than most of the other plugs. The front option plug uses the smaller.

If anyone has a bit of spare time.. I am looking for people to proof read / error check the data gathered thus far. Also I was thinking about re-organizing the document to put all the Honda OEM stuff at the top then start into the 3rd party items and information sources at the bottom. Any feedback on the current layout -- good bad whatever? While this started out as my pet project.... I think the resource could be helpful.. but if it is too hard to use / find information it won't be as useful.

well it has been a few slow days.. but a few things added today. No feedback on the layout change.. so that is still pending as a maybe item. Also no data integrity verification volunteers.. so the typos and formatting nuances are slowly being found as other edits happen.
