LA Times Says...

That the new Valk and CTX1300 will both be priced similar.

First Look: 2014 Honda Gold Wing Valkryie - latimes.com

The bikes will be in dealerships next April. What will it cost to own one? Honda isn't saying officially, but expect a price tag of around $17,000, roughly the same as the CTX1300.
Unless the two have VERY distinct target markets I don't see how both can be healthy in the marketplace...

That's kind of an old article; we've seen a pic somewhere here from a more recent bike show with $15,999 pasted on the windscreen. Still more than I'd like it to be, but not more than I think I'll be willing to pay. ;)

not very credible.

I rather read articles and info on bikes on a motorcycle blog and not some newspaper that just has a small motorcycle feature section.

yea I hear you, but $16 aint so far from $17. They both need their own breathing room, $14,999 and $17K and they wont be able to keep any of them in stock :D

I don't think "in stock" will be quite right ... more likely one or two of each will be on the showroom floor and you can order one IF you want one! I'm basing this on the "room" available at a typical Honda dealership, Honda has ALOT of OTHER products that they are trying to sell too!
I would be surprised if they priced the CTX1300 and the Valkyrie around the same number. I would consider buying the Valkyrie instead of the CTX1300 if they are priced the same. I had assumed that the Valkyrie would be more expensive.
