I had not seen a discussion started on the date for the annual Meetup in the Mountains. I figured I would get the conversation started.

Has anyone started to plan the annual Meetup yet? I was not there last year and don't want to step on anyone's toes.

If not, I am going to suggest September 1–3, 2023 (updated) at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge 1755 Lower Stecoah Road, Robbinsville, North Carolina 28771.

I’m absolutely up for it if I can.. second knee replacement in a couple weeks so hopefully I’ll be ok.

I just realized that May 14 was Mother’s Day. (Got to be with Mom)

How about September 1-3 (Labor Day weekend) instead.

That will give @bljdb more time to be ready after the knee replacement too.

A holiday weekend, particularly the last one of the season, is going to be packed with riders and drivers on the TOTD and the Cherohala Skyway. Just a thought.

Yes, I agree that the ride should not be Labor Day weekend. The traffic - both bikes and autos will be horrific. I would suggest about the same time as last year - anytime after September 11.

totally agree. that was the first thing i thot of when i saw the date. labor day traffic is just an invitation to get run over by a cage driver.

I plan to be there unless you talk me into riding around Canada. COVID’s over so now we can go ! 😁

Last year I missed the ride and camaraderie of the crew so much. I will definitely be there!

Even if you want to ride North.

A ride North would have to be in July when it's warm, and that would be a different thread.

Ok, after hearing some input from folks, I have settled on 9/15 - 9/17. I hope to see a lot of folks there. All bikes and friendly people welcome.

I'm in. Last time the Meet was at Iron horse was Oct 2018 if I'm not mistaken. Has / will someone contact Iron Horse and check on rates and holding a block of rooms/cabins for our group?
