I'm in. Last time the Meet was at Iron horse was Oct 2018 if I'm not mistaken. Has / will someone contact Iron Horse and check on rates and holding a block of rooms/cabins for our group? I think maybe Chris H did it that time. Anyway I'm in again. And @gordinier everyone is welcome. Stay safe all.

Yes, you are correct. That was the year @fbnewell1 rode his CTX1300 through a hurricane from Brownsville, TX to be at the meet up.

I am calling the Iron Horse to let them know the CTX crew are on the way. I’ll let you know what they tell me.

Yes, @gordinier, even you. We took a vote and after a tie breaking coin flip you are allowed. 🤪

Everyone allowed, any bike.

Thinking of selling mine come spring here in Atlanta.
It is the fastest color, never been down, always garaged.
I'll be 82 in March and as time goes on, I'm liking my three other street bikes more and more (two 800cc and one 500 cc) need I say more?
I will send pics (I think I posted some on this site a year or two ago) and more info if there is any interest. Don't recall mileage and I'm too lazy to walk to garage to see, but I think it has about 8K miles.
Make no mistake, I LOVE the bike, but it's just a little too heavy (off highway) for this old man.

Note that the Iron Horse website says all their rooms have a 3 night minimum for stays on the weekends.
Should not be a problem. We will ride starting on Friday morning at about 9:30am so folks will want to be there Thursday night. So Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night.

It has not been a problem in the past when folks have shown up later. If they have a room, they want it occupied.

Just my two cents but I'm afraid we might be pricing some folks out...that's one reason why Mick and I didn't go last year. It's $150 a night for a cabin or $50 a night for tent camping at Iron horse.
When planning meetups in the past, Chris started a thread and people suggested places to stay and dates, and then we decided together...WNC is great but would love to hear ideas for different places.
Your thoughts?

i agree it does seem a bit pricey to tent camp at 50 bucks per night. thats more than camping at sturgis during the whole rally week. depending on where ya stay of course.

@Mama Bear, I understand what you are saying and really hope you and Mick will be able to make it like you have in previous years.

It is a little more expensive but it is also the best Motorcycle resort in the area and is very close to many of the best motorcycle roads in the country.

I spoke with Chris and he has encouraged me to organize the meet up since he is very busy with his new job. I have got it organized to this point and do not want to start all over and create confusion.

I am sticking with what we currently have:

Those are the prices before tax and the hotel surcharge. We paid $58 for one night of tent camping there (2 people no electricity).

I'm wondering if you can get a discount from Iron Horse if they know a group is coming, and how many.

Iron Horse also has 6 small trailer sites with 110 volt power listed at $43 + tax. The final cost is anyone's guess. I looked at some other properties online in the area. One campground and cabin resort had prices listed from 2018 on their website. Another had a $20/night service charge and $60 cleaning fee. Hope they get back to Steven about what the real costs are.
