I've been trying for several days to make a reservation with Ironhorse. I've left my number and not heard back. Today I tried again and the phone goes straight to voice mail. However, the message is that their box is full and you can't leave a message. I'll keep trying -

Sorry you folks are having issues. I go there annually and I have never had a problem making reservations. As we get into the riding season and they staff up, I am sure it will work itself out.

I just made a reservation with Iron Horse. arriving the 14th and out on the 17th. Unit #101, one side of the split cabin with bath in between rooms. Without asking she offered me a military/veterans discount of 30% off the room rate. One night $81.19 ($89.31 with tax) and it sleeps two so I’m working on a split with a rider I know. Only thing is they will not process two people paying / splitting a bill. So you would need to work that out between you and your roommate. Hope this info makes a difference for some who might be on the fence deciding to go or not. Stay safe all. C U in Sept.

Well, glad I saw your post Stan! I called right away and got thru - I'll be in room 102. No military discount = $115.99 per night. Here's hoping for great weather and all day riding, dinner and possible corn hole!

Iron Horse has breakfast & dinner on site. It is an additional cost of $15 to $20. That is probably how @MamaBear is coming up with a $50 cost for a camping site with no electric.

Look folks.... We are going to have a great time and the roads are going to be awesome.
$50 is the price of just the campsite with the extra person fee and taxes. Does not include any meals.

I had to cancel a reservation for another event and got the "voice mail box full" message! No reply to email either. Finally caught them in and cancelled. I haven't been to Iron Horse since the new owners took over. Sounds like there may be a problem! Their prices are certainly keeping up with current events (inflation)!!!

Ok, I am booked! Got a deluxe private cabin room. If anyone is looking for a bunkie (and save 1/2 of the cost) let me know.

I plan on being there Wed afternoon / evening. So I’m in for a bonus ride.
Till then stay safe.
Hey Stan - That's my plan as well. I'll be in the area probably by Tuesday. We should definitely plan a ride for Thursday. Will you be in Robbinsville Wed night? I'll be at my sister's house which is near the crossroads of Tuckasegee and about an hour and a half from Robbinsville. We could certainly meet up somewhere for some added ride time and there will probably be others as well... Once Koepp posts his routes then we can come up with another one for Thursday. Plenty of roads in the area to keep us happy!

I’ll be at Iron Horse sometime Wed afternoon/early evening. I’m doing two days to get there from Bland MO but just playing it by ear where I’ll stop the first night out. I’ll be doing mostly two lane at a easy pace.
