Hi I am Nick amd live in Alabama. Have been riding motorcycles for about 40 years and have bought a CTX 1300 in the early part of January. I have always wanted Honda to put this engine in a bike such as this although it is far different than what I would have thought.Your forum helped me quite a bit in my decision and I look forward to the topics that are put forward on this site. I can say that I am pleasantly pleased with the CTX and am planning a trip to Kentucky and to Florida soon. I have also experienced some of the topics that are being discussed and will later give my input.

Son of Dixie here too. Only 40 years riding? You sound like a youngster.(48 for me).

Std or Dlx? Red/Black? Accessories?
You planning on Key West or just to the beach?
I assume you are taking the direct route to Ky (by Hwy 129 and/or Blue Ridge)?
