Hi all. I just picked up a Deluxe with 8800 miles on it today. Coming from a history of sporting bikes, the cruiser style seating position is definitely going to take some getting used to, but I like the bike so far. A short test ride at the dealer and I was sold. We got the paperwork done and the check handed over, then I was off for the 135 mile ride home. For the first time in 10 years I didn't have a numb bum and sore knees after the first hour.
The CTX is definitely not as quick as our Concours, but it gets up to speed just fine, with a more dignified manner than the sport tourer. The wife is fine with that, she isn't a fan of sudden acceleration, and the lazy attitude of the CTX is a small price to pay in exchange for the lack of sore knees. The Connie is going up for sale soon.

Welcome @aircraft_electrician .
I'm a fan of that kind of riding style myself.
Is your member name an indication of your craft?
I used to be in Avionics in the Air National Guard, and computer operated aircraft simulators in the Navy before that. Simulator used the very same radar and other avionics as in the actual airplane (P3 Orion).

Yes sir, I've been an aircraft electrical and environmental systems specialist in the Air National Guard for 13 years and on active duty for 8 years before that.

Welcome aboard AE. I was a ADJ working on helicopters and P3's for the USN 68-72. Enjoyed my tour but not as much as I enjoy my CTX. Ride safe.

Welcome, had my CTX about three years and love it. Have 2014 Valkyrie, also. Hard to decide my fav. Been building Experimentals for 10 years+. Kind of lost interest with my move to FL.. Took three years to get a hanger in Deland. Coming back in October to finish hanger cleaning in Evansville.
