Live in northern california I have 3 bikes now, but none are for long distance riding the 4 cylinder family have a 1979 Kawasaki LTD 1000
and 1984 Honda Magna V65 and last 2005 Yamaha Vmax which not sure if I am selling or not the reason is no more room for new CTX1300 which will be a test ride tomorrow so guess I am stuck on 4 cylinder powered motorcycles

Yikes, I think maybe you should build on an addition!
Loved my V65, and the VMax was always one of my dream bikes. Welcome!

Hi. my name is Terry and joined the forum a couple of days ago.
Thanks to everyone as I have found some useful info. tips already as I hope to pick up my new CTX Friday. I'm trading my Suzuki bandit so looking forward to the change to the CTX.
I currently have a 1981 Z 1000j, 1984 GPZ750r 1979 CB900 and a 1984 VF750F. all on club rego.
Have a bit of a passion for the older jap bikes, but looking forward to a couple of long trips on the CTX as spring arrives
