This bike, and the ST1300 that the engine and tranny come from, are known to have what many call a Jetson's car noise (from the cartoon of WAY back) or a Singer Sewing machine noise. This is often attributed to the square cut gears in the front end. Totally normal and, for many ST owners, beloved.

Could that be what you are hearing?

Fixed the title for you.

I believe the Jetson noises are from gearbox and final drive
This sound is up front
Is there a timing chain/ belt adjustment?

The Jetson noise comes from the straight cut gears in the front. The engine uses timing chains. Here's a link to Honda parts direct for an image.

Ok now I see!😁
I see an adjuster? I’ll look on my manual
But a chain going around gears shouldn’t be hound wom wom wom
Should it?
Can you record it and post a link here? Either as a link to a file Chain icon below on a storage program like Drive or Dropbox, or the menu icon . . . below, next to the smiley face :), then Media.

Bob - do I have this right?

I noticed it too. I believe it’s the bearing in the end of the clutch basket. It comes and goes when you pull in/release the clutch lever.
Unless someone really abused that engine before you bought it, I’m guessing there is no problem. At 6800 miles it isn’t even broken in yet. what oil were they using and what oil are you using? Are you using 10W30 as recommended in the owners manual? I use Amsoil synthetic in mine. Also , just take it to your local Honda dealer, if there is one close to you and ask them. They probably won’t charge you just to listen to it. Mine wouldn’t. Also the engine has an automatic tensioner on that set up.

The funny thing about taking it to a dealer. Find a dealer that's actually Seen a CTX.
Mine did, and sold a few of them
