Sorry, guys, I am new at this. I am considering a CTX or a F6B and I wonder if any of you have seen a CTX passenger backrest. I am just a tire kicker for now but I hope to buy one or the other by September. Thanks jeparry46.

Hi, and welcome to the board!

Here's what we've seen for a backrest. So far it's only available overseas (this pic is from the Honda Japan site), but it and other accessories are supposed to be here by June or July. They're also color-keyed to your bike's color (the one pictured is for a white bike). All the information I've seen says it only attaches to the luggage rack (also pictured).

backrest for ctx 1300

Thanks sleepngbear for the info and the photo. Since I want a 2-person bike, the backrest is mandatory.

Bob, thanks for the welcome. Did you per chance ride an F6b on your way to pulling the trigger on the CTX1300? I am still interested in that model.

Jim
Haven't pulled the trigger yet on the CTX1300! Want to, but there are issues with pricing that my wife is adjusting to... still.

I haven't given the F6B a test ride yet but I did get to sit on a few. Nice bike but too big for me. I used to have a GW (see sig) but sold it because I wanted something easier to handle in city congestion and parking lots and such. The vast majority of my riding is the commute to work and errands around town. Then once it a while I get out for a mc camping trip across state lines or some other longish trip. You can see in my sig that after the GW I tried a few bikes to meet that desire. The Burgman 650 was real nice but a bit small for the travelling. The ST1100 is the right size range and is nimble enough and has OK ergos, but it's starting to feel cramped as I get older with the sport-touring seating position. The CTX1300 is the perfect size and has the perfect handling characteristics and perfect ergos that I need. If all I did was travel I'd likely as not have an F6B or other GW model... still. Just in the last year I've been liking the bagger look with touring seating position. These 2 bikes, GW/F6B and CTX1300, are the only 2 I know of that hit the mark right on.
