i have a sat nav mounted on my bars, when I connect it to the usb cable in the right hand pocket the sat nav goes off and shows pic of cable going to desk top. Basically I want to chage my sat nav while using it, any suggestions?

You need a mount kit designed for your specific brand and model of GPS unit. When you plug to the USB, it just thinks you're connected to a computer.

Thanks Ken, I have just wired up a 12v outlet direct to the battery and fitted it in fairing pocket. I can now use the charger that came with the sat nav. Now charges when driving.
