Airhawk seat cushion. Currently using the Harley Davidson version because it has a built in inflator. You can inflate/deflate it on the fly with your left hand. The airhawk cushion has a valve you need to remove to change the pressure.

I use ceramic beads.

I have used 14X14 and 15X15. I think the 14 worked better on this seat.

I've done multiple 600 mile days with these on the stock seats on two different CTX 1300s.

My bike came with a Corbin seat when we bought it. I’m 6’3 250+ and I don’t have any plans to replace it. I’m just glad the guy before me bought it lol 😁

I use the Air Hawk R Cruiser. I didn't have any issues on 300 mile rides with the stock seat but it is more comfortable with the pad.

ok, thanks for the suggestin. hw can hard beads make my thin boney butt more comfortable? i would think i'd need somethin' more of a plush feel. i have a airhawk. it seems to make ya feel[me] to disconnected from the bike.

i have an airhawk.i find it disconnects me from the bike and what it is doing. plus kinda lifts me up. i would rather be lower in the bike. as in, a part of it. i know, picky, picky. i think i will try that h.d. air pad tho. it looks promising

The reasons the stock seat is not great after a few hundred miles are that it's too soft and it doesn't breathe well. The ceramic beads solve both problems.

The air in the Air Hawk has to be adjusted so you are still in contact with the seat. It just distributes the pressure evenly. It feels almost flat to your hand when properly inflated.

Had a Corbin on my CTX, loved it. Only rode the stock seat once, for about 50 miles. On my Spyder I have the beads like TS describes above. They work like a charm, despite what “looks” to be uncomfortable.

I'm the same. But I started to keep it deflated as much as possible and it helped with that rolling around on the seat feel. I only use it when taking long trips.

I use the stock seat with a sheep skin on it. Been doing that for years. I ride 10 hrs/day on my trips and works fine for me. Sitting on any plastic for longer than an hour is quite uncomfortable.

I like the stock seat and think it is pretty comfy. I last way longer on it than I do in car seats, probably because there is room to move around. I use beads (wood) when on trips and/or when the temp starts rising. I was on the beads when I did a SaddleSore 1000. I have never tried a Corbin or Russell Day Long so cant compare.

I had the stock seat, modified that made it somewhat better, then I went for the Russell daylong. No comparing the comfort Russell wins hands down.
@gordinier - I had my seat redone by Trasher Motorcycle Custom Seats in Winter Park, Fl. (https://m.facebook.com/ThrasherCustomSeats)
The open cell foam was replaced with a Closed cell foam type, the lower back portion was pushed forward about 3”. I also had him do a dish shape on the foam for the passenger. The new seat really helps on long trips.

I bought my CTX with a Corbin installed. Never had one and wondered how they could charge so much. But…..after riding long miles on that thing, I literally have NEVER experienced saddle soreness with this thing. I’m 60 and when I get off that thing at a stop, I can get off and have no issues/soreness with my legs or butt. Love that thing.
