Thanks for the great video! The taller windshield seems to be designed very well for the CTX 1300, and does a great job making for a more comfortable, relaxing ride. I like that!! Where was the camera mounted on your helmet in relation to your eyesight line? Seemed like the windshield height was good, but mirrors not so much.

Thanks guys. the camera is actually mounted on the front of my Helmet on my bottom chin bar. I'm looking comfortably over the windshield with my line of sight the camera is a few inches below where I'm actually looking.

That's what I was thinking looking at the video. A chin mounted camera. I would also guess it is maybe left of center?
That would also offset the view of the mirrors and put the reservoirs more in the way.
Good video. Thanks!

I will soon find out if the screen is low enough for me. That is important to me. If that top edge is too high I may consider riding the summer with the short screen and put the tall one on for cooler weather. Or maybe even cutting it down an inch or two (did that on my ST so not afraid of the results). But from the many reports here so far I think it will be fine. I have a camping trip to Wisconsin coming next month that I will be testing a lot of things out on this bike.

Might be a little left of center but not on purpose...lol! I'm sure that you will like the tall windshield. Cutting down a few inches might work as well. I see over the windshield fairly easily though. I'm 5'9" with a 29 inch inseam so I'm thinking you will see over it just fine. Hope the trip goes good! Should be nice here that time of year!

Excellent video. Thanks for sharing! Watching you ride behind the handlebars makes me really want to get out there and find a test ride somewhere. Love the smoothness.

Wow, I did not know that the tall windshield was even available yet! I guess that's why you join a forum...

Any idea about how the air flow over the windshield would hit a passenger? Have you had a passenger ride along with it on yet?

Welcome to the board cjm76!
Read through this thread (clicky on linky) for some excellent review and feed back on the tall shield. Post 22 mentions about a passenger issue but then in post 38 is the resolution to that issue. Simple solutions are always the best. I'll be installing my tall shield this weekend and also my garage door opener and GPS power cord, and maybe even the 12V power port. These are the first items I'll be needing on my June mc camping trip. If I can figure out where to mount it I'll also install my Stebel Nautilus air horns. Gotta make some real noise at times! :D

BTW - just so you know... the luggage rack is also available in some locations but not the backrest nor the top case... yet.

Welcome aboard!! I haven't had the chance to ride with a passenger yet. From what I have seen on here though its a pretty simple fix if there are any buffeting issues!!
