I just had the dealer install the taller windshield this morning and after 50 miles of riding at different speeds I have to say I'm happy now. I can actually ride it at freeway speeds with my face shield up and still be comfortable. I can also hear the music as the wind noise is much less. Bottom line: worth every penny. About $130.

Thanks for the review. Couple of quick questions ...
- How tall are you?
- Are you now looking through the windshield, or over it?
- What's the height from the top of the body work to the top of the shield?

I'm glad to hear the tall screen helps. After the disaster of the Honda tall screen for the CTX700D, I was a bit nervous.

I ordered my tall screen on Thursday. I may let the dealer install it.

I'm 5 ft 10 and I look just over the shield. I'm not sure about the measurements.
so if you were to extend a line, or your hand, straight out from you would the top of the shield be at or under the tip of your nose, or out from your chin when sitting normally and looking ahead?

If either, that would be ideal for a shield. Though I'm still not sure I need more than stock at this time. Would have to #1) get my CTX :D , and #2) ride for a few hundred highway miles before I could be sure.

I'm okay with the stocker for myself when I'm solo. It's riding 2-up that I'm concerned about. Gotta get out more with the wife and see if last weekend was just a windy day, or if I have some work to do to be able to take her out comfortably. I still think a backrest for her will make a big difference.
