I think the dealer should install what was asked for. Sometimes a scene is necessary. I am supersized they would install Harley imprinted tire on anything but a Harley. Just my 2 cents
did he inform you that they were installing the michelin tire? if not, i would be incensed. like, who approved the change. whats next?? they decide ot change something else without approval. i would DEFFINITELY step up to the plate and take a swing! and swing for the fences!Told my dealer to get me a replacement front tire for the METZELER ME888 ULTRA. Just $30 more than me buying it. Well OK.
Yesterday they puts on new tire. $70 more. Then I discover he installed a Michelin Scorcher Harley 130-70 B18 63H, with a Harley Davidson imprint on it

.
I'm debating whether to make an issue of it. Been satisfied with this dealer up to now. I don't see any reference on this site to this tire. Only the Michelin Commander, which I've run in the past. I have a Metzler ME888 on the rear.
???
IF oyu did sign on the receipt and pay for the work. you have accepted the transaction. i just would let them know you are not pleased. IF , if it happens again i would not pay for it and mnake sure they know they will be getting all the free advertising they can get. none of it in a good way. that kind of news deffinitely has an impact in the motorcycling community. as in we mo' deffinitely pay attention. that translates of course to less money for him.I don't understand... You picked up your rim (or bike) and checked it wasn't the tire you bought. Did you not say something then? If you left with the rim (or bike) then you accepted the replacement. If that is the case, you have nothing to complain about. You accepted it. If the rim (or bike) is still at the dealer then tell him to replace the tire with what you paid for - if that is what you want.
Yeah. I been using this same dealer for six years now. Helps. I've never complained to him before.I guess it pays to forge a good relationship with a good dealer.
Last week I called a local guy in town about replacing tires and possibly changing fork oil weight. He said “we don’t work on jap bikes” 😂 I’m to old to go have a talk with him now. lol
update?
I've heard the same thing about semi truck repairs, or autos. You're pretty much screwed once you pay the bill because that means you agreed with the repairs.I don't understand...
