I thought a deluxe version of the CTX 1300 offered ABS, self canceling turn signals, & Bluetooth along with some sort of appearance upgrades.

I’ve found several CTX 1300 advertised as Deluxe models, but dealer(2different stores) says they do not have ABS & are not Bluetooth capable. I forgot to ask about the turn signals.

So, what does one get for the extra $ with a deluxe v a std 1300?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

As far as I know, and have read, the deluxe does have ABS/TC, sound system. I'm pretty sure Canada models come with heated grips and center stand.
If it's a deluxe the wheels and foot peg boards are painted black.
You should see the ABS sensor rotor on the right side of front wheel.
(Edit) And the self cancelling signals should be on one with ABS, since it works off of the ABS system.

I've also noticed listings on Cycle Trader claiming it's a deluxe when the photos are obviously a standard model. I wrote to one about the mistake and pointed out how I could tell, but they never corrected the listing.

Yes, Canadian CTX 1300 deluxe models have center stand and heated grips also have silver/grey wheels rather than black.

IN THE USA ONLY... There are 2 versions. Deluxe and Standard. Neither come stock with the center stand.
ALL Deluxe versions have blacked out rims and peg panels. They also have the self cancelling signals, stereo control head and speakers, ABS/TC.
ALL Standard versions have silver rims and peg panels. These do NOT have any of the options mentioned for the Deluxe from the factory.
Any advertising to the contrary is false and that advertiser knows nothing.

In all other countries where the CTX1300 is/was found there is ONLY ONE version that I know of. All have the center stand and I think also heated grips. This is in addition to all the features mentioned above for the USA Deluxe version.
For these the rims and peg panels vary in color but the feature set from the factory remains the same. There may be some variance but I don't recall if there is. So in all countries other the the USA there really is no "Deluxe" as different than another version. They are all just the CTX1300.

The CTX 1300 Deluxe comes with everything you mentioned. ABS/TC, Bluetooth and Self-Canceling turn signal. I have one in my garage with all these features. If it does not come with theses extras It not the Deluxe model.

Wouldn’t there be some difference in the Vehicle Identification Number also? Besides the last six digits/numbers? This is a snap shot from another thread on this forum. View attachment 48361
Good point. When you do a search on honda parts direct, the search engine asks which serial number range you have. I guess to clarify if you have the deluxe or standard.

Some SN are the same from a bike in one country to another bike in another country. This is demonstrated in the Known Member SN Data document at this sticky thread:

DO NOT EDIT THAT DOCUMENT AT THE LINK YOURSELF BUT NOTIFY @Alazakla TO MAKE CHANGES TO IT FOR YOU.

Thank you gentlemen, all the information is enlightening.

searching on different dealer sites, and what have you, many times a machine is advertised as deluxe, but certain features are not listed say self cancelling turn signals for an example, or perhaps a better example is Bluetooth audio system. And a couple of times one is listed as a standard but verbiage will mention some but not all deluxe features.

I'm doing all this shopping via the internet and the back and forth is becoming bothersome.
Suppose I need to put my Big Boy Fruit of the looms on, grab my clipboard with notes and questions, and make a trip to the big city.

Sometimes the hunt is as enjoyable as the acquisition.

I try to figure out which model it is by the photos. It is frustrating when the dealer doesn't seem to know what they're selling.

As someone said before sometimes even dealers haven’t a clue as to what a bike is or isn’t. And to top it all with a one year (2014) run of these they are even more clueless. But it could work to the buyers advantage finding that the CTX1300 advertised at a standards price turns out to be a deluxe. At least in the US. Other countries have another variation of the CTX1300 with more bells and whistles and colors. Plus I’ve heard some countries license a new bike as the year of purchase. So a bike built in 2014 and sat for two years may be licensed as a 2016. Maybe some foreign owners could explain that better. Stay safe.
