Hello All!

I thought this might be a fun thread. It would be cool for folks to share stories and pictures from their rides, mods, experiences, or whatever!

Post away! :D

I finally got around to cleaning the bike up after the Meetup. Truth be, I think I’ve only had it out once since then. Just too much “stuff” going on. Who says you aren’t busy when you retire?
Stay safe all.

Well it’s a beautiful sunny 70 degree 41 % humidity day in mid MO let’s get that nice clean bike out (see previous post) and take a November ride. Hold on there big boy, dead battery, you aren’t going anywhere.
If it isn’t one thing it’s another. Stuff happens.

Charged the LI battery out of the bike with the trickle charger that came with it overnight. Went from 2.63 volts to 13.30. Put it in the bike and started right up. Charging at 14.32 at idle. Took a 47 mile ride and everything worked fine. Including shutting it off and restarting. I’m starting to think I left the key on and drained it vs it dying suddenly. Geeezzzz hope I didn’t do that and not notice the lights still on. Time will tell. Stay safe all

No posts in a couple of days so I'll jump in. I washed and waxed the bike on Thursday, bought oil, filter and plugs. Probably do the work just before Christmas.

I'll jump in too. The forum has been really quiet! I am waiting for a rear Exedra Max to arrive at the dealer so I can have it installed before the Thanksgiving holiday. Ordered it last Tuesday and it's usually in in a couple of days, so taking a lot longer this time, I would like to take an extended day ride over Thanksgiving but my current rear tire it balding more than me and I would rather not chance it for 300 miles. No chords showing through, so maybe...
I had surgery on my nose a week and a half ago and was out of town a week before that so I have been sidelined for a bit. I was finally able to ride yesterday with my face shield down (I ride with it up mostly). I rode up the local Ortega Hwy for breakfast with the guys (a few adventure bikes and a couple ducati's) and loved the ride and loved the bacon. Temps got down to 40F and I had to pull over and swap out for my winter gloves...glad I had them with me!

Out on the CTX today in eastern Maryland. Low 50s and drizzle. Pretty good weather considering.
I kind of made up my mind this is my primary vehicle for now. Diesel is $2 more than low octane gas and my pickup gets around 17 to 19 mpg.
32 gallon tank at $5.299/gallon. I'll ride my CTX.

I was planning to meet the guys for breakfast this morning at the top of Ortega Hwy, but I didnt feel enthused enough to start out in darkness and at 40F - most likely lower in spots. I slept in, watched the world cup, and then decided to go for a ride when it warmed up to mid 50'sF. 180 mile loop and it was perfect - twisties, cruising through ranch and vineyard country, and I didnt even mind the sections of traffic lights. Nice and mellow. I noticed I turned over 58,000 miles, and I am now 130 miles short of 10,000 for the year. Much better than the last few years! Great bike.

Went out last Saturday in the fog to the local Triumph dealer about 35 miles south. Weather was in the 30s. With the changeover to the Givi windscreen from the Puig windscreen, I was able to handle the cold with no heated gear. Just lined riding pants and thermals, and 4 layers on the top (base layer, long sleeve shirt, liner and jacket).

Got to ride it today. Outside temps about 50*F and overcast. Got to put about 14 miles on it. A bittersweet ride. Delivered it to a local police station to complete the transfer to its new owner - from Saltillo, Mexico (near Monterrey). As Barry stated earlier - “the end of an era”.

I don't know what to say. Sad to see it go. But it's good to see you're still in good health. Your daughter hasn't damaged you with her enduro riding, yet.
Be safe.

This pic did not turn out great but it still proves I can be refined when I want to. Enjoying a cappuccino and an almond croissant at a hipster streetside cafe in Solana Beach with my bike across the street. Wasnt feeling the typical roadside diner gut bomb breakfast! It was part of a 280 mile ride yesterday - gorgeous sunny day on coast and in mountains.
Wishing everybody a Happy New Year!

I think you got your "stations" confused. You don't refuel at that particular "station" but you are welcome to leave something there. o_O

I’ve been really busy trying to get my 48 Willys in shape for this summer. But temp got up to 72 in beautiful Bland MO so I had to get the bike out and ride. MODOT has a bridge out near me so my normal 12 mile ride to town turned into a 53 mile round trip.

As I was parking the bike in the garage I took one last look before going inside. BOOM There it was down to the tread AGAIN on the left side of the rear tire. Damn crowned roads.

I have been doing a few additions to my CTX in the last few weeks.
Added Menosabes highway pegs and driving lights, Eastern Beaver fuse box, ST2 Smart Brake Module, Rad Guard, Carbon Fibre fender extender, The 2 Wheels Adjustable levers, Gear Indicator whew a lot of stuff.
I added the Rox Speed Anti Vibration risers but didn't like them, took them off.
Ordered the Utopia Backrest, hoping to have it prior to my ride to Cabot Trail for The 911 Atlantic Ride on June 8th, 9th.
Hope these pics show up.
Cheers
Hi,
When you installed your ST2 Smart Break Module, did you experience any issues or did it work as advertised. I have a ST2 module I want to install however am being warned against doing so due to the concern by other Honda owners that placing 12 volts onthe signal line could damage the break light unit. I await your advice. Mine is a CTX 1300AE 2017 make.
