Hello All!

I thought this might be a fun thread. It would be cool for folks to share stories and pictures from their rides, mods, experiences, or whatever!

Post away! :D

Got to ride it today. Outside temps about 50*F and overcast. Got to put about 14 miles on it. A bittersweet ride. Delivered it to a local police station to complete the transfer to its new owner - from Saltillo, Mexico (near Monterrey). As Barry stated earlier - “the end of an era”. View attachment 48473
What I see is Frontis REFUSING to let go of the handlebars, no? The new owner is actually trying to push him away so he can go riding! :ROFLMAO::p😂

Hi,
When you installed your ST2 Smart Break Module, did you experience any issues or did it work as advertised. I have a ST2 module I want to install however am being warned against doing so due to the concern by other Honda owners that placing 12 volts onthe signal line could damage the break light unit. I await your advice. Mine is a CTX 1300AE 2017 make.
I have both the ST2 brake module as well as the new ST2 brake light strobe system on my CTX1300. No issues with either of these devices. They work exactly as advertised.
Cheers,
Bruce

That is why you use a small amperage draw relay to trigger what you need. Save yourself some trouble and use/make a 12V and ground bus bar triggered from an ACC circuit using a relay. Then you can attach whatever 12V accessory you want!

I did a little research and testing for you. Looking at the schematic, the only LED controller is for the headlights. Also, the Honda fog lights are powered by their own external LED controller. If you were to connect them directly to 12v you'd burn them out. Aftermarket add-on fog lights have the controller built in. The same goes for LED upgrade headlights.
The Honda turn signals, front/back and brake light, are powered directly by 12v. I tested the brake light voltage and found 13.5v. Just to make sure I'm telling you correctly, I powered the brake light directly from the accessory outlet.

You could use a relay like some are suggesting, but I don't see any need for that. You aren't powering additional lights, and you still have to tap into the harness just the same.

Wires to use in the tail light harness:
Green = negative for all tail lights.
Green/Yellow= brake light
White/black= +12v power for tail and tag lights.
If it were me, I'd power the module on the tail light wire, green for the negative. And the brake light for the in/out brake module.
Another option would be to tap into the accessory outlet wire for +/- power and just splice into the brake light wire.
I assume that's the basic wiring of that module.

I took another look at the tire waiting to be installed. Beautiful weather and here they sit waiting for my dealer appt to install. This is like cruel and unusual punishment with so many sunny warm days lately. Ugh. 3 more days🤞

Stan, every time I see your aftermarket panniers I wonder why didn't Honda use that style instead of the "dump everything out when opening" model...

This makes me think of the old Richfield truck stop. I stopped every chance I could to order that Real corned beef hash. It was a great little restaurant. Now it's a Kwik Trip.

That's as close as I ever got to seeing the Basilica.

Trailered bike to shop for new rear tire only to discover the front tire , while looking good from a distance is actually down to the tread wear indicators. So ordered the front and will get it installed while there. So it sits surrounded by Honda side by sides and ATV’s at the shop. I think every farmer/hunter in the area brought theirs in for a spring tune up.

been there, done that!
I finally got the bike out for a short ride last Wed but just now got around to posting. Before leaving my garage the deer were trying to get me. But avoided them all and had a good 50 ride.
Stay safe all
