What the Iphone can do on the bike ?

So I use an app called Waze that allows me to see where the police are and I am wondering how this works with the hook up , will i be able to hear the warning through the speakers on the bike. I no longer need the radar detector with the Waze working. Thanks to Dubbsriders I fell in love with this bike and I read the amazing review of why and how they build this bike and changed the torque sequence, genius. I am coming from a harley street glide so this will be a huge change for me, and yes I really want the white one , this is the one bike that some how can pull of the white but will keep the blue for awhile , but paint job in mind. Anyone else like the white bike if they offered it. Oh and is their a way to mount the iphone so i can see it on the bike.? The look of this bike captured me, the things I read pulled me in, and those on this forum confirmed it. Thank you

Welcome to the board!

I would suggest checking into RAM device mounts. They have a very large array of options for mounting smartphones, and maybe even a specific one for iPhone. I just finished adding a RAM mount to my left handlebar for my GPS unit that I ran the power wire for over the weekend. I'll be posting about that in another thread yet tonight. :)

I have no clue if the warnings from Waze will come through the speakers. I would think they would IF the sounds are formatted same as a music file format. Otherwise I don't think so.
Welcome aboard gravity glide, and congrats on what reads as a new purchase. ;)

As Bob suggested, RAM mounts would be a good place to start for your iPhone: RAM Mounting Systems, Inc..

Looking forward to hearing your impressions after you get a few more miles in the saddle, coming from 'the other side'. :)
Welcome to the board! Congrats on your new ride. Post some pics when you have time.

Welcome and congrats on your new bike.
I'm order the white color deluxe version. I believe the white one look kinda cool and neat, luckily that is big, and the wheel is black in my country version, otherwise is will look too soft.

How is CTX1300 compare to street glide HD?
Street Glide HD is one of my next project for the 2nd bike. ^^

Thanks GravityGlide! I'm glad that you decided to go for it!! I agree with the other posters for Ram Mounts. I'm assuming that if the Iphone was paired with the bike and the audio function in the app is bluetooth you should be fine with this. It does support audio out function from other apps so I would think you would be just fine. Congrats again!!
white stallion.

I agree this is the one bike that can pull off white and it looks hot. I have had a lot of fun on the glide and a lot of it came purely from the rumble so It will be interesting to see how that fun gets replaced with this kind of bike. I will keep you posted as i have not yet picked up the bike , we have tornado weather and warnings in ohio.

I just posted in another thread -- I thought I was going to miss th me rumble of my Thunderbird -- it really had a nice distinctive growl when you cracked it hard. But I actually don't. The CTX has a character all its own. While the Bird pulled harder down low, it ran out of RPM's pretty quick. The CTX will surprise you by how much longer it pulls, especially in the higher gears. Once I feel my arms start getting stretched at the point I'd be up-shifting on the 'Bird, I forget all about that rumble. :D
There are brand specific handlebar cell phone mounts, about 10 bucks on fleebay, I have one for my Samsung S4, it snaps in and out in 1 second, I use it mostly for internet radio, you will find an app for about every station in most towns. I use it daily and it uses less than 1 gig of data per month.

Yeah, the CTX has a distinctive sound of its own. I have heard a sort of "rumble" effect at certain speeds and gears, caused (purposely) by the design of the tailpipes, where one on each side is longer than the other one. Then there is that VERY distinctive whine, even at idle, that makes the CTX seem a lot like a sport bike. And it FEELS like one to me because it feels so powerful and nimble. The more I ride it, the more convinced I am that I made the right choice.
